5/19/2012 - Shenandoah VA
Race #3 of the 2012 points season at Shenandoah Speedway proved to have the toughest field yet, with a trio of fast visitors from out of town. We overcame several mechanical issues in practice, and ran some of our fastest laps of the year, but still only managed to qualify P6. In the race, Dane was able to gain one spot, to finish 5th (2nd in his YL/SP division). Congrats to defending INEX SP National Champion Alex Pacheco on his win.
5/12/2012 - Shenandoah VA
Race #2 of the 2012 points season at Shenandoah Speedway, was pretty uneventful. We qualified 3rd and ran that way for the entire race, ultimately finishing a second out of the lead and behind both Kevin Yeatts and Kevin Bush. A solid 3rd place (and win in the YL/SP division) Congrats to Kevin Y. on his overall win!

After a rainout on 4/25, and a near rainout today, we finally got our first race in. Dane qualified 6th and powered into the lead by lap 2. A full straightaway lead was wiped out by two late cautions. In the end, Dane and Kevin Bush raced door to door for both laps in a GREEN-WHITE-CHECKERED finish and we lost out by a few inches. Still, a great 2nd place finish (and win in his YL/SP division) to start the season.

A final farewell to 2011, Dane's first year of competition in an INEX Legends car. First and foremost, Dane would like to thank everyone that helped him make the challenging transition from Quarter Midgets to INEX Legends racing such a tremendous success. For 2012 we hope to build on our Rookie success and pursue a track championship.

Awards banquet for Shenandoah Speedway. Dane finished the 12 race season with 4 wins in the Young Lions/Semi Pro division and 6 top-3 overall finishes, which helped earn him 2nd place in the season points, behind only the defending track champion. For his efforts, Dane was also named Rookie of the Year. Congratulations to Kevin Bush, the 2011 Shenandoah Speedway Legends track champion!
